Stepping on a scale just doesn't give you enough information to make important decisions about your nutrition and exercise routine. You need a more comprehensive look at your body composition to know your muscle mass, body fat, and track these fluctuations over time.

The Withings Body Scan uses cutting-edge technology to monitor your body composition and deliver actionable insights, empowering you to make informed decisions about your health journey.

Pros

  • Advanced body composition analysis
  • Personalized insights and recommendations
  • Seamless integration with health apps

Cons

  • Information overload for starters
  • Requires consistent usage for accurate results
  • Limited to individual use

If you've ever shopped for smart scales in the past, no doubt Withings has come up in your searches. They have made some good to very good scales in the past. But this is absolutely their best effort thanks to some new sensors (more on that later) and segmented body composition.

With previous Withings smart scales, you would stand on them, and using a gentle electrical pulse you can't feel, a reading would measure how long it takes the pulse to travel through your body. This allowed the scale to estimate body fat and muscle mass.

With this new design, in addition to sensors in the base, you also have a handle, which allows this scale to provide much more accurate information and even body composition segmentation.

All of this data plus your vascular age, nerve health, and more can be monitored over time using the Withings app.

For a home scale, Withings is truly revolutionizing the space.

It is a key product for health enthusiasts, though not all of its features are necessary for people beginning their fitness journeys.

  • Body Composition Analysis: The Body Scan utilizes advanced sensors to provide precise measurements of weight, body fat percentage, muscle mass, and more, offering a comprehensive view of your physical health.
  • Seamless Connectivity: Sync the Body Scan with the Withings Health Mate app to access personalized insights, trends, and recommendations based on your unique body composition data.
