Its compact size also makes it suitable for home use, saving space compared to traditional rowing machines. The cherry wood frame & design is aesthetically pleasing and offers the opportunity for many people to simply store it in visible locations in their house. What we like about Rowing as an Exercise:

Rowing offers numerous health benefits, which contribute to its popularity among fitness enthusiasts:

  • Full-Body Workout: Rowing engages multiple muscle groups simultaneously, including the legs, core, back, shoulders, and arms. This comprehensive workout helps to build strength and endurance throughout the entire body.
  • Low-Impact Exercise: Rowing is a low-impact exercise, meaning it puts minimal stress on the joints compared to high-impact activities like running. This makes it suitable for individuals of all fitness levels and ages, including those with joint issues or injuries.
  • Cardiovascular Fitness: Rowing is an excellent cardiovascular exercise that elevates heart rate and improves cardiovascular health. Regular rowing workouts can enhance heart and lung function, increase aerobic capacity, and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke.
  • Calorie Burning and Weight Loss: Rowing is an efficient calorie-burning exercise that can help individuals achieve weight loss and weight management goals. A vigorous rowing session can burn a significant number of calories while also boosting metabolism.
  • Improved Posture and Core Strength: Rowing requires proper posture and core stability to perform the rowing motion effectively. Over time, consistent rowing workouts can help improve posture, strengthen the core muscles, and reduce the risk of back pain and injury.
  • Stress Reduction and Mental Health Benefits: Like other forms of exercise, rowing releases endorphins, which are neurotransmitters that promote feelings of well-being and reduce stress. Rowing can also provide a meditative and calming experience, helping to alleviate anxiety and improve overall mental health.
  • Versatility and Accessibility: Rowing can be performed indoors or outdoors, depending on the availability of equipment and preferences. Indoor rowing machines, such as those offered by Ergatta, provide a convenient and accessible way to enjoy rowing workouts year-round, regardless of weather conditions.
  • Social Interaction: The camaraderie and support from fellow rowers can enhance motivation and enjoyment of the sport.

What are some of the Criticisms of the Ergatta

Rowing offers numerous health benefits, which contribute to its popularity among fitness enthusiasts:

  • Cost: The Ergatta rower is priced higher compared to some other rowing machines on the market, which may deter budget-conscious consumers. Although the BodyStack offer supports on cost + Ergatta does provide monthly payment options.
  • Preference for Traditional Rowing Machines: Some users may prefer the feel of traditional rowing machines with a water or air resistance system, finding them more authentic or familiar.
  • Limited Workout Variety: While Ergatta offers interactive workouts and challenges, some users might prefer a wider variety of exercise options or training programs that target specific muscle groups.
  • Lack of Real-World Simulation: While Ergatta provides a simulated rowing experience, some users may find that it doesn't fully replicate the feeling of rowing on water, particularly for those who are accustomed to outdoor rowing.
  • Learning Curve: For individuals who are not familiar with rowing or interactive fitness platforms, there might be a learning curve associated with using the Ergatta rower effectively, which could be a barrier for some users.

The Thought Behind The Product

When you invest a lot of money in a quality piece of workout equipment, it should last. That's the hope anyway. From firsthand experience, I can tell you the Ergatta rowing machine remains as functional and beautiful as the day we put it in our home.

Between my wife and I, we're using this rower several times a week and have been for months on end. There's not even the slightest signs or feel of wear. Every pull from the catch to the catch to the finish feels as smooth as the day we got it.

The Ergatta rower feels and looks as good as it did the day we bought it.

One thing we really debated on was whether to splurge on the technology package. It's already an expensive piece of equipment, so to add on the premium subscription package felt like a considerable investment. Now that I have it, I would have a difficult time going back.

With the customization and tracking capabilities, as well as the variety in programs for different types of exercise, I think the upgrade is worth it. Rowing can become quite repetitive, but being able to customize and track so many metrics and makes workouts feel fun every time.

The tracking metrics onboard this rower are world class.

I'm a bit competitive, so when I'm going for a personal best, I know the equipment is giving me good data. And when I track my progress over time, it's nice to see the improvements. Truly, the technology Ergatta uses is world class.

Finally, the aesthetics of this rower are just too good to deny. Let's face it. Most gym equipment doesn't go great with a person's home decor. This actually looks like a classy and timeless piece that somehow manages to stand out and seamlessly blend into the room at the same time.

Honestly, whenever we have people over, even when the rower is standing upright, guests comment on how it looks like it could be a piece of art or wall decor.

The Bottom Line

The Ergatta Rower stands out as a beautifully designed piece of workout equipment that seamlessly blends timeless style with modern technology.

Its elegant cherry wood, hand hewn frame, transparent water tank, and large 17.3-inch touchscreen create a unique look and workout experience.

Despite being on the pricier side, the Ergatta Rower's sleek design and interactive features make it a compelling choice for a low-impact, highly-engaging workout.
